Warranty
MC Cricket offers a comprehensive 1 Year warranty on all handcrafted cricket bats, ensuring coverage against manufacturing defects and structural faults for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. The warranty covers issues such as premature wood splitting, breaks and faulty craftsmanship. However, it does not extend to damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper use, neglect, accidental damage, or modifications made by the owner. Additionally, cosmetic blemishes, damage from water exposure, or damage resulting from using the bat on surfaces other than a cricket pitch are not covered under the warranty. Customers are advised to follow proper care and maintenance guidelines to maintain the bat’s performance and longevity.
Mc Cricket gloves and pads come with a 6-month warranty, ensuring quality and durability for our customers. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects or issues under normal use within the six-month period. Normal wear and tear will not be replaced
AVOID
Using your bat without knocking in
Over oiling which will make the willow rot and become 'dead'. It is difficult to over oil. If there is any excess oil on the bat just wipe it off with an old rag.
Leaving the bat vertical while oiling
Getting wet
Tap on a wet pitch, allowing water into the toe which swells and can cause horizontal cracks.
Hit 'yorkers' hard. This can cause cracking in the toe.
Using cheap cricket balls that can bruise and dent the bat.
Using bowling machine balls
Become damaged through bad shots or have failed as a result of poor preparation and care
These can all Void the warranty of your bat.
Bat Care
Proper care for your cricket bat is absolutely essential to maintain its optimal performance and significantly extend its overall lifespan. Always make sure to thoroughly knock in the bat before you use it; this process prepares the willow for impact and helps prevent premature damage that can compromise the bat’s integrity. Proper knocking in takes upto 10 hours, The bats is ready to use when there is no noticeable seams marks on the face. Regularly applying linseed oil is important to keep the wood well hydrated and to avoid the development of cracks, but be cautious not to over-oil, as this can negatively affect the bat’s weight and balance. When storing your bat, choose a cool, dry place that is protected from direct sunlight and excess moisture to preserve the wood quality. After every game, take the time to carefully clean off any dirt and inspect your bat for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any cracks or dents, promptly address them with professional repairs to maintain your bat in peak condition. By following these simple yet effective guidelines, you ensure your cricket bat remains durable, reliable, and ready to perform consistently on the field.
